I have had a real passion for our canine friends for a number of years now. My first dogs were a Jack Russell, Rooney (who we still have) and a longhaired German Sheppard, Leo who sadly died in 2006 ( I am sure he is now happy, pain free and playing at Rainbow Bridge). In June 2003 I went to see a litter of black Labradors - just for a look - and came home with my boy, Ben. I was and still am smitten with him. Shortly after I went to Ridgeway Labradors to look at a black bitch with a view to breed her with Ben and there I found my girl Jess. I had always wanted a chocolate labrador so in 2004 I enquired about a litter in Wales. I went along to have a look at the litter and came home with Holly - the moral of this story is be careful when looking at litters of puppies (especially Labradors) as you never know who will be coming home with you.

All 5 of my Labradors have the unbeatable temperament and personality which this breed is renowned for possessing. It really is second to none.

People ask why the name Shoopi Labradors? Well it is a bit of a long story but basically Shoopi is Bens nickname. As I can't breed from Ben I still wanted him to be part of it all and decided he should be the founder member hence ...... Shoopi Labradors.

We had our first litter - 5 girls and 1 boy, September 2005 - from my beautiful girl Jess. All of the puppies have found lovely homes which I am very pleased with. I receive updates from the families and it is great to hear how the babies are getting on. We have now rehomed our 2nd litter. We had 6 black beautiful puppies 3 girls and 3 boys. They were born on 14th July 2007. You can see photos of the cheeky chappies on our Shoopi Puppies page or you can click here.

I am sure you would like to meet the gang so please click on their homepages to see photos and read all about my gorgeous boy Ben, my truely beautiful girl Jess, my totally bonkers chocolate chip Holly, jumping jellybean Freya and the cutest pup ever - Jadie!

Bonnie (Shoopi Lady Muck) and Gem (Shoopi Little Gem) sisters from different litters (both Jess babies) now live in St Albans - aren't they gorgeous?
