Holly Bolly

I bought Holly in May 2004 as I had always wanted a chocolate labrador. I was given a lot of advice regarding the pigmentation for chocolates and also advised that they can be prone to suffer from epilepsy - which I am pleased to say I haven't come across in her yet.

As you can see Holly has a beautiful rich chocolate coat and is of a medium build. She is slightly larger than her mate Jess which is due to the fact that Holly is from Show lines.

Hollys most favourite thing in the world is FOOD. From the day I bought her home she has been an absolute little piglet - true labrador as they all love their food. She scoffs her food like there is no tomorrow and when she has finished will look at me and give me a massive burp!

Holly has a real passion for my cushions from the sofas. I often find one up the garden after she has been really excited about something. She also thinks she is being helpful when she takes clean washing up the garden for me - I have lost many a sock.

Holly loves to play ball down the fields and is the best retriever out of the 3. She always brings brings the ball back to my hand - who said chocolates were only good for showing? This young lady has a real talent. She also retrieves from the water brilliantly. She often goes under the water which makes us laugh.

People have commented on the fact that one of the dogs makes a funny noise. I knew exactly whom they were taking about. Ofcoarse it is Holly. She makes a funny clucking noise when she gets excited. Sometimes I wonder if she is half lab half chicken?

Holly has grown up very fast and grown into a stunning young dog. Although she has grown she still needs to mature - if that will ever happen??? She still acts very much like the baby. Although loopy at times Holly has a lovely nature and a real heart of gold.

At night times you will often find Holly laid on the floor under my feet or on the sofa with her mates Ben and Jess. Wherever she is she always has one beady eye on me just incase I move.

Sometimes Holly drives me crazy at times but when it comes down to it she is a real sweetheart and I love her to bits - the mad moo! Would I have her any other way????....No...
